Samuel Toussaint Martin, Lea Forgues Martin-1900ish, Auburn, Lewiston
Family oral history has it that my great grandfather, Samuel Toussaint Martin, abandoned his wife, Lea, and their 10 to 15 children about 1908 or 1909. The small family grocery store had failed. He returned to Canada, where he homesteaded near Provost, Alberta, and remained there until his death in the early 1940's. Some of the childrens names were, Ernestine, Wilhelmina, Margaret, Ozaline, Orpha, Henry, Delia, Albertine, Peter, Alix(Alice), and Jack. They were, at that time, Canadian citizens living in the US illegally. I am looking for any additional children, or any other info.
