I had a similiar situation - seeking a child listed as a grandchild with grandparents in a census.
I resolved the issue by going back thru the censuses of the related communities. In your case seeking any Light / Leicht families with a child named Eva. In your case 1870 would be the likely census with her in it. In 1870 she would be abt age 5. In 1880 she was age 15 with her grandparents.
If nothing found, go back each year seeking the grandparents names in an attempt to locate their children's names. You may have to try several different searches: 1st Maine in general, then the counties, finally the towns. This allows you to narrow the search further.
Try google.com for search of surnames Hibbard and Light.
Eva's Hibbard grandparents are likely the parents of her mother. Thus her other grandparents would be Light's.
Also try message boards for these surnames in Maine.
I located other researchers of the same families and e-mailed them directly with my query. I was amazed with the responses and subsequent correspondances. Through perserverance, deductive reasoning, brainstorming and theories plus the process of elimination, we, collectively, solved not just who the parents were, but other issues as well.
