In Eaton's Thomaston, Rockland & South Thomaston there is a James C. born 1808 son of Zenas Morton of Eastport. He married Mehitable R. Morton of F? (Friendship?)Residence was Rockland and he was a blacksmith.

Children:

Leonese born about 1837
Franklin born about 1841
Ella B. born about 1853

There is also a James Morton born in Rockland in 1824 according the LDS genealogy site.
