No. His first child was born in Cambridge MA in 1852 so I guess I can now assume he was in MA by 1850. Since earlier census records will only give the name of the head of household finding my gg grandfather in Maine prior to 1850 becomes more difficult. He would have been 10 years old in 1840. I guess I can search for Washington families named Bailey in the 1840 census that show a male of 10 years old living in the family. Any idea what other records I can search other then census?
