Bill: I can only confirm Peter Tufts Gray's birth as 20 Sept. 1788, Dover, NH ("Tufts Kinsmen" by Herbert Freeman Adams - "Dover Vital Records"). The Rev. Robert Gray was ordained to the pastoral charge of the First Church of Christ in Dover on 22 May 1887 and the parsonage of the church was erected for his ministry.

Peter's mother, Lydia Tufts was born 10 June 1762 - Charlestown Vital Records. She died 21 Aug 1801, Dover, NH and Rev. Robert m2 24 Aug 1802 in Lincoln MA to Susanna Hoar and m3 (date unknown) to Polley (Chelsey) Jones.

I have no information on Peter's date of death nor any information on his family - sorry!

Good luck in your hunting!

Sandi
