Hello,
I was wondering if any of you might have any old photo's of any of the Jarvis family and descendants that you could share with me?
Edward D. Jarvis is my 4th great grandfather. He was born in Mar 1795 in Eton, Buckinghamshire, England. His parents were John Jarvis and Ann Mist. Edward came to Maine and married to Catherine Millay. He settled in Gardiner, Maine. They had 9 children.
1]Abigail Jarvis, who married to John Thomas Stone. They moved to Farmingdale, Maine. They had 3 children,Delia, Anne and John.
2] Jeremiah Joseph Jarvis who married to Eliza Starbird, they moved to Durkee,Burnt River, Oregon and had a ranch then moved to San Fransciso California. They had 1 daughter,Ella. Eliza's brother, Charles Henri Starbird was a professional photographer,and lived in Portland Maine and Augusta Maine and had his own studio.
3] Mary Ann Jarvis 1821-1835
4] William Edward Jarvis married to Elvira M Maxcy. They lived in Gardiner, Maine then in Somerville Massachusetts. They had 4 boys, Frank Selwyn;George Clarence;
William Henry Seward;and Horatio Nelson Jarvis. All lived in Somerville, Everett and Boston, Mass.
5] Kingsbury Millay Jarvis married to Ellen Milissa Smart. They lived in Gardiner, Maine, Peabody Mass and Malden Mass. They had no children that I know of.
6] George Henry Jarvis 1831-1852
7] Lucy Holman Jarvis,she married to Elbridge Tyler, they lived in Gardiner, Maine and had 2 children, Victoria and Joseph.
8]Annie Warren Jarvis married to Stephen Everett Johnson and they had 2 daughters, Abbie Katherine and Lucy Ellen Johnson. They lived in Gardiner, Maine.
9]Horatio Nelson Jarvis 1838-1862. Not married, no issue and died in the civil war.
I do have a few picture's and I am willing to share.
