I think the fact that your Benjamin was actually living in Nathan's house is good evidence.
Also, Nathaniel Balch Dexter is not the one who married Lucy Burrill. Nathaniel Balch Dexter married Lucy Willard in 1781 Grafton, MA. Your Nathan came from Plymouth Co, not Worcester Co. There is a lot of bad info out there so be careful how you navigate it. I have access to some MA vitals indexes where I have found my information
I see only one Isaac Dexter (age 50s) in 1840 ME living in Winthrop, Kennebec Co. He does NOT have a male age 20s in the household.
