James, I saw the Beza Wood headstone info on line a couple of years ago and often wondered if he was related. There weren't too many Woods at that time in Winslow so he might be. Someone once told me that Bennet had a brother Joseph that may have been in the area. Supposedly they both were at Ft Halifax, but I don't have any proof. I have never been able to find Bennet's birthplace, parents, or wife's name either. There was a Bennet Wood in Gardiner, MA, but it wasn't ours. I know lots of these early Maine families came from Plymouth Co, MA so I have tried to look for info on Woods there. So far no luck. Yes, I have seen the incorrect info on Sarah Wood's dates. It is misprinted in the Soule book if I remember right. Maybe someday someone will find a death record for one of these Wood siblings that actually has the name of a mother. That will be the breakthrough for that line. I put together my list of possible Wood children from the Winslow VR book. If you look at the last page of births there is a list of names with no last name. They look like almost all Woods.
