what I did, and is by no means an exact science I followed later census with names wood, and back tract to early census
and put a poss. name to an age, then through all formats out there I gathered as much Inform. as possible, and re defined them... found something interesting on Beza, wasn't very well liked " In Memory of Beza Wood, Departed this life Nov 2, 1837 aged 45 yrs. Here lies one Wood enclosed in wood, One wood within another. The outer wood is very good We cannot praise rhe other"..... No proff he was Bennet's son. My connection is to Bennet's Daughter
Sarah Wood who married Pelatiah Soule II. His war record says Married on Sarah 21st birthday in Winslow, Me. March 20, 1800 not 1789 like so many others have in correct.
and that ties in with 1800 census when Bennet lived next door to Soule's she listed as 16 to 25 yrs. 1775-1784...
I think she was born in 25 mile Pond area, again no proff ..
would make her my 4th Gt. Grandmother.. and Bennet my 5th Gt. Grandad ........ and your husband my cousin .....
1790 census says Lincoln Co., Winslow Town, with its Adjacents Page 50 Middle col. 18 down ..........
Bennit Wood Have no Idea of Bennet's wife's name.......
