Thanks for the reply. I recently bought your book and have found it very helpful for anyone doing research in Mount Desert. I too had looked at the John and Rachel Lurvey Carroll connection. If it is the case, then John D. Lurvey (s/o Isaac) married Hannah Carroll, his first cousin (my gg-grandparents). I just started on the Lurvey line last spring and with but one trip to the state archives, I have gleaned much from the Internet. At some point this fall I have to make the sojourn to Southwest Harbor.
