Hi. I'm not related to this family. There is a tree on that has William's parents as Robert Sinclair & Marie Louise Rivard Loranger. I found a marriage for them:

Robert Sinclair of the parish of Machiche, miller
m. 23 Oct 1815 Trois-Rivières (Protestant)
Mary Loranger, daughter of Louis Loranger

Here is a baptism for William in the Quebec Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967:

William, son of Robert Sinclair, miller in the Machiche Mill and Mary, his wife, born the 11th day of December 1815 and baptized in the Roman Catholic Church of Machiche, was received into the Protestant Church this 30th day of March 1823.. ~Louiseville (Protestant)

His brother, John, was baptized the same day. He was born 15 March 1818.

I have no primary evidence that this is your William.

Hope this helps. Annie
