Hi Ruth-Haven't seen you since the lobster bake. How are you? In VR of Mount Desert Maine and Nearby Islands 1776-1820 edited by Alice McDonald Long on page 22 it says, June 7, 1813 this day Published the bans of Marriage between Mr John Davis and Miss Rebecca Langley both of this town. Sept. 25 1813 gave a Certificate of the above Publishment.
In Long Island History of Frenchboro by Vivian Lunt 1976, on page 8 it says "a daughter was born to John and Rebecca
Tinker Davis in 1821".
She said it is fairly safe to conclude that John and William Davis were brothers. One of the sons of John and
Rebecca Davis was named William. Somewhere I have a
list of children that I thought belonged to this couple.
Ezra did not belong to them, but may be related.
