SUNSET, DEER ISLE
Lawrence Clyde Conary

Lawrence Clyde Conary, 87, died Oct. 10, 1989, at a local hospital.

He was born Oct. 27, 1901, at Deer Isle, the son of William W. and Daisy (Conary) Conary.

He operated his lobster business on Green Head in Stonington for more than 43 years.

He was a member of the Sunset Congregational Church; Marine Lodge, AF & AM No. 122 of Deer Isle; Blanquefort Commandery No. 013; and Arcadia Chapter No. 31, both of Ellsworth; Anah Temple Shrine of Bangor; Kora Shrine Club of Portland; the Hancock County Shrine Club; Joshua Davis Lodge No. 145, IOOF; and Amos No. 176, both of Stonington.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Minnie (Brown) Conary, in 1982.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, October 12, 1989 at the Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Stonington, with Elder William Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sunset, Deer Isle. Friends may make contributions in his memory to the Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle 04627.

SUNSET
Minnie B. Connary

Minnie B. Connary, 77, died May 15, 1982, at her home in Sunset. She was born, March 11, 1905, at Deer Isle, the daughter of Burton B. and Lottie (Haskell) Brown.

She attended the Sunset Congregational Church.

She is survived by her husband, L. Clyde Connary of Sunset; one sister, Carrie Brown; three brothers, George Brown, Russell Brown and Myles Brown, all of Sunset; one aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18, at the Bragdon Funeral Home, Stonington. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Deer Isle.

Friends may make contributions to the Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle 04627.
