I noticed at the bottom of pg. 621 in "The History Of Industry" in fine print, it says that Rev. Benjamin Follett resided in Starks in 1851. Have you tried the 1850 or 1860 Census? Another idea -- what about the history of Methodism/Baptists, etc. ? One of those old books on religion in Maine might have info on him.
