Barbara, Thank you for your reply. I was probably a little unfair to the town clerk of Stratton. She just wasn't very helpful when I was there. I have had such kind help from other clerks in the area, that I know most really go out of their way to be of help. Does Eustis have a town clerk?
To answer your question: My ancesters were in the area of Flagstaff and Dead River before it was flooded. I'm looking for these families; Lincoln, Clark, Clapp, Williamson,and Taylor in the time-frame of 1840-1890. Thanks for your time. Alice
