HELLO,

I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL CEMETERIES IN GORHAM, MAINE. I HAVE BEEN TO THE SOUTH STREET CEMETERY , THE LARGE CEMETERY ON THE MAIN ROAD GOING THROUGH GORHAM WHICH I THINK IS RT 25 , THERE WERE TWO OTHER VERY OLD CEMETERIES UP ON ROUTE 114 BY THE COLLEGE. THERE ARE SEVERAL OLD CHURCH CEMETERIES ALSO.

DID YOU KNOW THAT GORHAM HAS A HISTORICAL SOCIETY? THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY ALSO HAS A WEBSITE THAT HAS INFORMATION POSTED ON IT. THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY WAS OPENED ON A LIMITED BASIS THE LAST THAT I KNEW. I WAS SURPRISED BY ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT THEY HAD AND HOW HELPFUL THE DOCENTS WERE.I CAN GIVE YOU THE WEBSITE FOR THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY IF YOU NEED IT.

THE MAINE HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS LOCATED ON CONGRESS STREET IN PORTLAND AND THEY HAVE A LOT OF GREAT INFO.

I HAVE A COPY OF THE HISTORY OF GORHAM, MAINE. I WOULD BE GLAD TO DO A LOOK-UP FOR YOU.

LINDA
