Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

There is a Freeport Historical Society who might be able to help you as well as the Bartol Library. The FHS has (or did have) its own webpage.
My family was from Freeport too so I will do a search of my books here and see if I can find any Beals for you, if I do, I'll be back here and leave you a message.
Good Luck to you in your research.
