I just checked the 1910 census and found this in the Shaker Community: Harold S. Smith, age ten.. Born in ME, father born United States, mother born in United States.
This was all that was given.
There was also a Harold Edward Smith, age 9 an "inmate" in the Home for (Homeless? hard to read this word) Boys. He was in the Portland census-1910- roll 539, part three, page 163A
