No of course not if the marriage returns weren't there to get, but my point was that I have marriage records of my own family that I got from Town Clerks etc., and so if I could get them why couldn't the authors of this book do the same? Maybe they gather their info from a different source of Marriage returns or something. When I was doing my Mayflower membership, I had to get Birth, Marriage and Death records for many of my relatives leading up to my 3rd grt. grandmother who was already a member. Even the Marriage dates that I got from the Town Clerk's Office's that were from the latter part of the 1800's are not in this book and many of my relatives were married in Portland, Cumberland Co., Maine. Several others were married in Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine, and they are not in this book.

That's all, just wondering why it wasn't an all inclusive type of book when the records are in the Town Clerk's offices but not in here.
Oh well, all in all its a very good reference book.
