Melissa, My deepest appreciation for the information you have provided. It was a happy day when I received it. I think that this and the Federal censuses which I will soon scan will be very helpful in unravelling the whereabouts of this mystery couple.
Since he was a boat captain, he may have died at sea. Letitia remains an enigma but my dad said she was a "religious fanatic". Now that you have provided a year of death, perhaps I can find an obituary for Edward that mentions the couple and gives the name of a local clergyman.
