Hi George,
Sorry that you made the trip up to Freeport and then couldn't find the cememtery. It's located on West St. and has a Very Narrow (two big stacked stone wall) entrance, we didn't know if the big Excursion we were in would fit in between there (laughs) as it is we got down in back there and got into the mud and thank goodness for 4 wheel drive is all I can say. You can get to the cemetery from Main St. or via Bow St to South St. and then take a right onto West St.
I have checked all of the cemetery listings that I have for Freeport and do not see a Jeremiah Webber but that doesn't mean he isn't there. There are Lots of Webber's buried down to Harpswell as I have several of them in my own family tree. I will do a more thorough search through my cemetery notes and see if I can find anything for you.
I did see 2 Webber's buried at Burr Cemetery in Freeport which is a Very large cemetery. You have to go over by the McDonald's in Freeport and go up and around the road behind there. I can't remember exactly as I wasn't driving that day (laughs) so was doing more site seeing than paying attention to where and how we got there.
Anyway, I hope you can find your Jeremiah. IF I find anything I will let you know.
