I just found Louis and Desanges marriage record and Louis is not Malicite. Louis is the son of Louis Aubin and Josephte Dechene (so) and Desanges is the daughter of Pierre Levesque and the late Marie Roase Morneau. They did have a daughter in 1844 named Marie Desanges. I found these records in the Drouin Collection; Riviere du Loup St Patrice.
Oops, the Aubin married in Van Buren was not their son. Sorry I did my Aubin research one year ago.

I found info on the name Aubin here
