In "Downeast Ancestry" October 1987 Volume 11 Number 3 on page 89 is the obituary of COLUMBUS HAYFORD.
Columbus Hayford was born in Salem, July 31, 1836, the eldest son of Lebedee and Nancy (Stinchfield) Hayford.
He married April 22, 1866 in Presque Isle, Maine to Lavinia Pratt Allen widow of Augustus Allen.
