I am researching SADIE (PETERSON) FORSMAN STEDT. She married 2) THEODORE C. STEDT who is my 1st cousin, twice removed. Her first spouse JOHAN C. must have died in New Sweden sometime between the 1920-30 census. I wish to confirm SADIE's maiden name. It appears to be PETERSON, but I cannot find her under that name or any other in the 1900 census.
