Thank you for your reply. I do have the information from the 115 yrs. in Woodland. However, there are several mistakes concerning this family in that book.
Elisha, Sr. was born in Presque isle , Maine according to his death certificate. He died November 1, 1914 ( not Dec. 31, 1913.) He is burried in Woodland cemetery. The information on Elisha's death comes from his death certificate. His Father was Elias Brown and he was born in Providence of Quebec however, he did live in New Brunswick before coming to Maine. Elisha's Mother was Elizabeth Porter Birth place not know.
Elisha was married to Tallie Thobodeau but was divorced sometime in the late 1800's. Elisha married Phebe Sparks 7-1-1896. Children of Elisha and Tallie are also listed incorrectly. Two children are missing. The children were
Elias, Albert, Elisha, Jr., Herman, Lawrence, Maria , Mary jane and Milinda.
Also another error is of whom was living on the farm in 1970. It should read: Albert's Son Chester and his Son Donald still lived on the Brown Road.
My problem is finding information on Elisha Brown, Sr. and his second wife Phebe Sparks married on 7-1-1896. Both Elisha and Phebe lived in Woodland at the time of their marriage.
Elisha Brown Sr. was my Great Grandfather. Perhaps the historical society may wish to make the corrections. My Father Chester Brown had also pointed these out to me when the book came out. All informaiton I have given comes from the Maine archives.
