Dear Leigh,
thank you so much! just knowing this is very important to my research since although one genealogy places him in Aroostook Co. in 1830, the census for that year seems to list 2 men named Moses 'Burley' 1 in Wash. Co. & 1 in Waldo Co. [where Moses had been living up to that point]. It's said of him "He carried the first mail by carriage from Augusta to Bangor, it having previously been carried on horseback."
I wonder if it would be possible to get a copy of a page [?] that shows the manuel was that of Moses Burleigh? Or whatever? If not I certainly understand and appreciate just knowing it exists!
