Looking for family of John BURPEE, born about 1856 in Fort Kent, Aroostook Cty, Maine. According to family history, he was orphaned at a young age and raised by a local Nadeau family. It is possible that this family was Joseph (Jose) Nadeau & Alice White, who had children around the same age as John.

John moved to Brewer sometime before 1881, when he married Mary Caroline Mutty.

Can anyone help with a lookup in the 1860 or 1870 census? Or in church records?
