I have been researching the Hamilton family for a long time and have had little luck.
My great grandfather was William Hamilton born in 1839. His death record states that he was born in Caribou,Maine but his Civil War records show Shelburn,Nova Scotia. I believe his father was Henry Hamilton and his mother was Stella McDougal. Any information on this family would be appreciated.
