Those people are not my line, but while researching Chandlers, I did come across the name Briggs several times in the Duxbury and Plymouth area of Massachusetts. Many people immigrated from that area to the central Maine area after the Revolutionary War.

You might try "Clement Briggs of Plymouth and his Descendants 1621-1965 (1966) by Edna Anne Hannibal. Clement Briggs came over on the Fortune. He lived in Dorchester and Weymouth, Massachusetts. Good luck!
