I'm searching for descendants of Salathiel Griffith in Maryland. I found a 1783 Tax assessment for Somerset Co. with his name on it. It says Little Belane pt. 130 acres, So. Wicomico. Any one know where this place is? Also a record of 2 marriages, one to a Hetty Harris - Feb. 20, 1828 the other to a Phillis Rickets - July 23,1814. My Great-grandfather is a descendant of Salathiel, but I can't make the connection yet. His name is Samuel Welch (Walsh?) Griffith who married Sarah Jane (Minnie) Fuller from Illinois. Samuel ans Sarah are both buried at Maddock North Dakota. Any info that could fill in the gaps is appreciated.
