Searching for parents of Doctor David Darnall

Does anyone know who the parents of Dr. David Darnall were?? He was born in St. Mary's County in 1650, and died June 30, 1702 in Richmond, VA. He married Margritt (Morgan or Mott) about 1677 in St. Mary's. Dr. David was a bit of a scoundrel. He first appears in the records in 1686 when he was arrested for disturbing the peace. Eventually he was asked to leave Maryland. He went to Stafford Co. Virginia and then to Richmond in 1691.

Some believe his father was Sir Jeremial Darnall, clerk to the Vicar of Dunton 8/5/1580, but I have also found a reference for a John being his father. I would appreciate any information anyone has on this matter.
