Don, Would your Patrick Burns be the son of Patrick Burns and Bridgett Warren? Did he have a brother Dennis Burns? My name is Barbara (Burns) Porter, my father was Donald (Don) E. Burns. His father was Robert E. Burns born in Chase Co. Kan son of "Jim" James E. Burns and Willa Malone Clark. James Edward Burns was born in Macon Co. Missouri the son of John Rollins Burns and Delia Herrin. John Rollins Burns was born in Macon Co. Missouri and was the son of Ignatius W. Burns and Jane Wright Burns. Ignatius W. Burns was born in Lewis Co. Kentucky and was the son of James Burns and Drusilla Myers. James Burns is said to have been born in Loudoun Co. Virginia the son of Ignatius Burns and Eleanor Posey. Ignatius Burns was born in St Mary's Co. Maryland and was the son of Dennis Burns and Martha Holton. Dennis Burns was born in St. Mary's Maryland and was the son of Patrick Burns and Bridgett Warren. Patrick Burns is supposed to have been born in Scottland and be the son of John Burns and Agnes McMillan. John Burns of Scottland is the son of Walter Burness and Isobel Greig. NOW, I can only prove the line from myself thru Ignatius W. Burns. Everything else came from someone else's research and theirs was from Jane Wright Burns back. Jane Wright Burns was Ignatius W. Burns cousin and his second marriage.
If any of this ties in with you, please let me know. If you would like and we tie in together we can keep in touch and share information.
Thanks, Barbara Burns Porter Lefors, TX
