Anyone working on Leonard Brooke who died in 1718 in St. Mary's County? His will names four children, apparently all minors:
Elinor Brooke, later married Clement Gardiner
Jane Brooke, later married John Smith
Ann Brooke, husband uncertain
Charles Brooke, the only son
Charles Brooke inherited the largest part of Leonard Brooke's very large land holdings. What became of him? Did he die as a minor. Surviving Rent Rolls do not seem to show him in possession of any of Leonard Brooke's land. What became of the land he inherited?
Who did Ann Brooke marry? Most old genealogies say William Neale of Port Tobacco, Md (son of Roswell Neale), but it seems unlikely. Other genealogies say she married Benedict Leonard Boarman. What is the evidence?
