There are more records in King Geo. Parish.

Since there was a Mordecai in the family, perhaps there is a connection to an earlier Mordecai MOORE. Across the Years in Pr. Geo. Co. has a deed of 10 Aug. 1704. George & wf. Mary YATE had deeded, 23 Nov. 1687, to Ursula BURGESS, then widow, and since the wife of Mordecai MOORE, "Westphalia," then in Calvert Co., now Pr. Geo., on the west side of the main branch of Dividing Creek of Patuxent...Mordecai MOORE deeded to his stepson Charles BURGESS, son of Ursula. Ursula's will was pr. 30 Je. 1702, Anne Arundel Co. She named only one MOORE child, son Richard MOORE.

The will of John MOORE, Pr. Geo. Co., made 1749, pr. 25 Sep. 1754, left to wf. Elizabeth, exx., for life, "Moore's Industry," then to be divided among sons Mordecai, Thomas, & Philip, each of whom was to pay to son Daniel at decease of wife. Dau. Darkis to receive cattle. Wit. Saml. WATERS, Quaker, & John & Jacob HOLLAND.

There are quite a few probate papers in Pr. Geo. Co. for George & George D. MOORE. There is a will listed for 29 Mar. 1783 for George (no initial). Then in 1796, there are wills of 26 July & 9 Aug. 1796 [Same man different filings?]. Accounts for the estate of Geo. D. were filed 1797, 1798, 1799, & 1802 by John BAYNE. BRUMBAUGH's MD Records says one George D. MOORE m. 16 Dec. 1795, Sarah BAYNE.

Have you checked with the cemetery where John D. MOORE is buried to see what information is at the cemetery? Have you checked with the churches near where the family lived? Was Westphalia Road longer in prior years? My maps only show it east of Forestville. Check Google Maps. The exact location might help you to find the closest church and cemetery.
