We are not going up a step. Here is more of an update: Please read below:

We are sure that my Great Granda JOHN ALOYISUS FEENEY's parents were
FROM IRELAND. It says this on the census. He was born in Woodstock
(Baltimore County MD). According to a reliable family source, the FEENEY
didn't approve of his wife-IDA MARIE WRIGHT (FEENEY). Anyway, just this
week, I found out that all of MY FEENEY relatives, are buried in a
cemetery called ALPHONSUS cemetery in Howard County/near Baltimore county
MD. This IS OUR FEENEY FAMILY CEMETERY. I am not sure who is 'what'
i.e., like who are my great grands sister, mother dad etc yet, we are
working on it. This very recent news. If you connect to me throught THIS
BRANCH, and you feel we are related, I would love to hear from you and
also do some genealogy notes etc. I would be the Great Grandaugther of
JOHN ALOYSISUS FEENEY & IDA MARIE WRIGHT-FEENEY, and I am the
grandaughter of JOHN WRIGHT FEENEY/ELIZABETH L.BAILEY and daughter of the late
EILEEN ANNE FEENEY-DAY.
KEY PLACES: HOWARD ,BALTIMORE COUNTY, BALTIMORE CITY?, MONTGOMERY
COUNTY MARYLAND. I read a posts somewhere that suggests they came from
RoscommonSligo or even Galway, but not sure at this point in time. Thank

Washington Post - obituary for a John A. Feeney
from Mar 25, 1949. It list him as a native of
Woodstock, Howard Co. MD. and that he had been married
to a Marie Wright, had a daughter Mary Posner (Panama
canal Zone) and son John W. age 29 and 6 grand
children. Indicated he was the former assistant train

It also appears our FEENEY FAMILY had A QUARRY OPERATION IN Granite
MD.:
FEENEY-ATHERTON QUARRY OPERATION
The late Patrick A. Feeney a native of Woodstock, was
prominent in the Granite quarry industry. In 1868 he
was baptized in a basement chapel in the Woodstock
College main building while it was under construction.
Later he served three years as a stonecutter
apprentice, then worked in quarries at Mt. Airy; N.C.,
returning to Granite as fireman of the Waltersvi11e
quarry cutting shed before Mr. Putney took it over.
Early in the 1900's Mr. Feeney went into partnership
with Frank Atherton, a native of Maine, to organize
the Feeney-Atherton quarry on the Hernwood road, on
land purchased from the Weller family. At its peak
this quarry employed about 60 men. It was closed in
1922. In his later years, Patrick Feeney described
granite quarrying as "a tough way to make a living."
His son Aquin P. Feeney, now in the real estate
business here, worked as an assistant to block cutters
and as water boy during several summers. William
Atherton, son of the 1ate Frank Atherton, is still
cutting stone at the Merkle memorial plant at
Rockdale.

CEMETERY WITH WRIGHT FAMILY MEMBERS. Montgomery County MD. JOHN WRIGHT
FEENEY,and ELIZABETH BAILEY FEENEY, PATRICK JOESPH FEENEY, are buried at
THE GATE OF HEAVEN CEMETERY, MONTGOMERY COUNTY MD. MY MOTHER EILEEN
ANNE FEENEY-DAY, is buried at Parson's City Cemetery, Parson's WVA.
