Need the parents of SYTIE DIRKS, wife of Thomas Janse Van Dyke. Married about 1604. They had 3 children. Two of them (Jan Thomasse and Nicholas Thomasse) crossed the Atlantic in 1652 with them on the ship, "Bonta Ke". Also, on the ship was Teuntje Haegen (wife of Jan Thomas)and their six children: Thomas Janse III, Antje Janse, Anjeniettje, Karel, Achias, and Jan Janse. Thomas Janse and SYTIE DIRKS'S third son Hendrick Thomasse, was waiting for them in the New World where he worked for The Dutch West India Company. Thomas Janse Van Dyke and his wife SYTIE DIRKS resided in the town of Brooklyn and are found on the record of 1661 as members of the First Reformed Durch Church of Brooklyn. Thomas Janse died 13 years later. SYTIE DIRKS death date is unknown. She is reported to have been a Belgian princess.
