Captain John Miller 1756-1804 PA and MD
Seeking information on parents of Captain John Miller (1756-1804) of Pennsylvania Militiaduring the Revolution. He married Juliann Stine 1763-1842. Also seeking information on Juliann Stine's Family. John Miller's service at rank ofCaptain was with 8th Battalion, 6th Company in 1780 Lancaster Borough and 1st Battalion 8th Company Amwell Township in 1781. He may obviously have had years of service as Lieutenant and other lower ranks. He died in Clear Spring, Maryland and is buried at St. Pauls Lutheran/Reformed Church.
John Miller and Juliann Stine had a son Samuel Miller 1783-1849 who married 1st Mary Ankeney and their children were: Elizabeth, Lewis and Euburtus.
Samuel Miller’s 2nd wife was Mary Fiery 1796-1877 their children were: John Ash Miller 1817-1903, Ann Elizabeth 1819 Nelson Fiery Miller 1821 female 1823 male 1824 Melchor 1825-1896 Samuel Henry Miller 1827-1896 Oliver 1829 Edmund Greenbury Miller 1832-1900 Rev. Victor Miller 1834
Seeking information on the parents of Mary Firey, Samuel's 2nd wife.
I would imagine that Capt. Millers heritage is German, being Mueller, however, there is a possibility that he could be of Irish, English or Scottish decent.
