I have a copy of a newspaper article, undated concerning this tombstone:

"Maryland State Police in Frederick found the top half of a broken tombstone. It reads 'Anthony Casaway, born Dec. 26, 1798, died Feb. 25, 1848, aged 50 years 1 mo.' The rest of the inscription is broken off."

"Police believe the tombstone came from a cemetery in the Jefferson, Burkittsville, or Middletown area.
