The James Hillard who was married to Elizabeth Hardesty is the daughter to my Susannah.I think that, as mixed up as it sounds, James Hillard might be a nephew of Susannah too. I did see a message about Mathew Maratta who was born in 1775 in Maryland, who moved to what was Washington County, Pennsylvania with his parents. He was said to ahve signed the "Westsylvania Petition" along with his uncle Caleb Hardesty and his father, James "Merato"It seems they all came into Kentucky together in Nelson County first then Spencer County (may have been same area but you know lines changed)James Hillard is the 2nd child of Mathew Maratta.
The Calvert County connection is where Susannah's husband, Caleb Hardesty is said to be from before coming to Kentucky.
I was just hoping that someone else would have the information about Susannah so I could connect her for sure to the Maratta's even though I am almost certain that she is related.
Are you related to the Maratta's?
