I Cant find any info here on the Martenet family...Anyway I am looking for info, comments, anything on links to the Morton and Martenet Families to Bonaparte Family in Maryland and France. My 3's ggrandmother Julia "Morton" who married Henry Cooke in Baltimore Maryland 1837 and where she came from.

Its a long story and was in newspaper and in my ggrndfather's diary I have here...Others have looked into her past but I dont believe the Morton Family Connetion was explored so this brings me to throw it out there.

She was baptised at the Church of Notre Dame in France and the King and Queen were present. The write up in Newspaper when she passed away said she was abducted by an uncle who I am thinking could possibly have been John Archer Morton or another Morton family member brought her to the US where her "uncle" paid a handsome sum each yr for her care and when the uncle died Mrs Catherine nee Johannes Martenet cared for her and or adopted her but it was not until yrs later she was given her birth record and told it may be of importance to her one day.It being in french her granddaughter Ione Cooke Translated it and that when the Importants was discovered....

I am trying to solve this mystery and may it may never happen but all the discoveries along the way have been wonderful in finding
