looking for connections

My relative in Maryland born 1780 was John Edason Marcellus. He was married to someone named Elizabeth T who was from PA.

I thought there may be an association here due to the names. The name Marcellus has a variety of spellings - Marsellas, Marcellas, Marcella, Marcel, Marcellus.

I thought Edason may be Edison...

They were reported to be French Huguenots --They seem to appear from nowhere! We think they may have change their name (Or portion) of their name along the way.

Some say they came to the US from Canada....who knows?

They were cordwainers and leather tradesmen In Baltimore in the early 1800's.

John Edason Marcellas was born in Maryland 1780 married E T who was born in PA about 1780. John served in the war of 1812.

After his death in 1846, his children moved to Facquire Virginia. There was suppose to be some relatives there.

There are records at Old St Paul's church in Baltimore Maryland.

Any conection? any suggestions?
