Nicholas Tobey, Somersetshire, England

In 1674, my ancestor John Gilbert was TEST to the Will of Nicholas Tobey of Somersetshire, England. An abstract of this will appears in the Maryland Calendar of Wills, Volume I, page 87.

John Gilbert was a merchant, whose son Thomas lived in old Baltimore Co by 1673. John Gilbert acquired a sizeable chunk of real estate by transporting people to MD. I suspect that Nicholas Tobey was a business partner, a relative, or both. Is anybody out there researching either John Gilbert or Nicholas Tobey?

JOhn Gilbert sold 1600 acres to Abraham Wild in 1676. Abraham Wild had been Captian of the ship, Avarilla. Anybody know anything about him, and the ship?
