Thank you kathy. This is the only connection I have found of John Cotgrave/Cotgreave being in this area. This is the same time my Rogers were in the Deer Creek area, Harford Cty. I did my DNA in hopes of proving I am descended from James Rogers and Elizabeth Rowland. I suspected James was a descended of Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. To my disappointment my DNA results showed I am not even a Rogers but match with Cotgreave/Cotgrave. I thought this may be a lab mistake so I had my son do his DNA. The results are the same. Cotgreave/Cotgrave. All my genealogy paper work is now worthless. The Cotgreaves suggested hanky panky but since my Rogers were all Quackers I suspect this John Cotgreave had a son who he left with the Rogers and they raised his as a Rogers. If this is so then I need to find another male descendant of Philip Rogers b: 1784 to do their Y-DNA to see the results. Thanks again for the information.
