I don't when Henry A. Downing was born or died,but I do know that Henry grow up in Lees Mills Township,NC-Roper or Mackeys?Martha J.Blount was born 1858-1859 in Lees Mills Township,Mackeys ,NC.Martha J. Blount-Downing was my gg Aunt from the Blount family side of Mackeys,NC.
Martha J. Blount died 1881-1882 and is buried in the Joseph Warren Blount Cemetary,Lees Mills Township,NC.Joseph Warren Blount was her father.Martha J.Blount was the eldest of the childern.Martha and Henry had no childern that I know of.Never heard of any,but there could be,condsidering that they where married 4 to 5 years.I don't know,because the family never said anything about her having children.Hope this helps.Any info that you can give me on the Henry J.Downing and Martha J.
