My ancestor, Thomas Vissage, was transported on the Patapsco Merchant by Capt. Francis Lux in May, 1736. The ship made at least 6 trips between England and Maryland from 1730 to 1736 in either Mar, Apr or May each year. Darby Lux was the captain each time except in 1736. I saw a listing for a Darby Lux who died in 1750 Baltimore on Vol.3 of the Family Treemaker CDs. I am interested in this ship also, esp. in the May 1736 voyage.
