Janet,
From the Emigrants from England to America 1718-1759, I have
4 Bells listed as coming to Maryland.
They are: John, from Mt. Helens Parrish in the City of Worcester. He is indented to John Dykes for a period of 5 years from Aug. 17, 1719. He is 19 years old and could not write.

John , St. Georges Parrish in Hanover Square Middlesex. He is indented to Wm. Cash for a period of 4 years from 12-31-1728. He is 19 years old and could sign his name.

Lewis, Burnham Parrish in Essex. He is indented to John Dykes for a period of 7 years from 10-6-1724. He was 15 yers old and could sign his name.

William, St. James Parrish in Westminster, Middlesex. He is indented to William Cash a Silk maker, for a period of 4 years from 12-31-1728. He is 18 years old and could not write. (He may have been brother to the John listed above.)

In a later passenger list of English Emigrants 1773-1776:
James Bell, age 24 a mason from Southwark, aboard the ship Chance to MD as a servant. She left from the Port of London the week of 1-2-1774.
Henry Bell, age 27 a Biscuit maker from London, aboard the Joseph and Mary to MD as a servant. He left the Port of London the week of 5-17-1774.
James Bell, a miner age 40 from York, aboard the Russet Merchant to MD as a servant. He left from the Port of London the week of 7-10th 1774.
I will check my other list and get back to you .
I hope you find this in some small way helpful.
ELaine
