John Holland and Mary Rhodes (born 1788, in Cheshire Co.,
England) were my GGgps. They had 4 children born in England.
My Ggf John Rhodes Holland is presumed first child born in
the US. Ggf's obituary says 22MAY1819, along the Chesapeake
Bay area, MD. I don't find them any where until 1838, by
deed, in Fauquier Co., VA. But the 1850 census says
children born to GGs 1826 on in VA. How would I go about
finding where my Ggf was born and where his parents first
lived in the US ? Thank you for any help; DONNA
