Does anyone have any information on the Smith Family? Father was Okie Jeramiah Smith, mother was Beatrice Rosealee Cooper (she is buried in Maryland), children, Charles William Smith, Raymond Smith, Mary Smith, Dorothy Smith and Joey Smith. After father passed, approx 1940, children were taken away from the mother and placed in an orphanage. They were all split up. Dorothy is my husbands mother. (She was born in Albright, WV) She was taken into a foster home in Alabama until she was an adult. We have located all sibling except for the baby Joey, and are looking for any information on her parents, and ancestors. Story she was given from her older brothers is that her fathers name was originaly Irwin, but after a falling out with hi family he took on the name Smith, after a family whom he was staying with in the late 20's. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated, as Dorothy has longed her whole life to know more of her heritage.
