Thomas Manly of St. Mary's Co. MD late 1600's

There was a Thomas Manly who married a Mary Ford, in St. Mary's County, Maryland. Mary's father was a John Ford. The time line for Thomas and Mary is the mid to late 1600's.

Does anyone know anything about this John Ford, or his descendants? Can anyone tell me if this John Ford, had a son named William Ford? or John Ford? Or Zadock Ford? What about other siblings for Mary? Are their names known? Or who they married? Did any of them move to VA or SC?

I have a William Ford, b. ca. 1740-47 who married Louisa Johnson in Amelia Co., VA. Their first born son was Manley/Manly Ford b. Nov 20, 1770 SC (what became Spartanburg Co.).

The name "Manley/Manly" continued down in the family line numerous times, with my 5th great grandfather William Z. Ford giving the name "Manly" to his first three sons; John Manley Ford, Isaac Manley Ford (my line) and Manly Harrington Ford.

This leads me to believe that a "Manly" ancestor is in my line somewhere back there.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
