I do not see the names of the parents of John JACOBS, who m. 24 Oct. 1812, Fredk. Co., MD, Elizabeth WHITE [per Margaret MYERS' M. Lic/o Fredk. Co. MD]. There was another license for John JACOBS & Elizabeth PERRIL, 7 Dec. 1816. There were also Fredk. Co. licenses before 1789 for JACOBS
Benja., 3 Nov. 1787, Elizabeth GILBERT
Joseph, 22 Feb. 1782, Elizabeth GRIFFIN
Wm., 16 Nov. 1778, Dorcas STOKES
Wm., 28 Apr. 1781, Sarah THOMAS.
The names John & Richard seem to indicate that the family might have been of Anne Arundel Co., MD.
F. Edwd. WRIGHT's Anne Arundel Co. Church Records:
All Hallows: Richd. JACOB & Hannah had son Joseph, bpt. 29 Jan. 1720.
St. Margaret's, Westminster:
Joseph JACOBS m. 19 May 1743, Hannah WRIGHT, & had Thomas, b. 8 Jan. 1746.
Joseph JACOB & Hannah had John, b. 5 Nov. 1754; Hannah, b. 23 Nov. 1760; Joseph, b. 1 Apr. 1749. Richard JACOB, son, b. 5 Aug. 1751. {Those were listed together in that order.}
Joseph JACOB, son of Richard, d. 30 Apr. 1773.
Richard JACOB & Patience had Joseph, b. 8 Jan. 1778, & Dorsey, b. 30 Mar. 1781.
{There are many more JACOBS records in Anne Arundel Co.}
MD Cal/o Wills: Joseph JACOB, AA, planter, 29 Apr. 1773, 8 Je. 1773. To son Richard, coex., dw. plantation. To sons Joseph, coex., & John, tract in Balto. Co., "Stevensons Manor" & in AA "Smiths Forrest, Happy Choice, Coxes Forrest, Support, & Jacob's Fortune." To daus. Elizabeth HAMMOND & Hannah JACOBS.
